Railsider Atlántico has reactivated train reception at the Noain Terminal as of Week 48, marking a significant milestone in its strategy to upgrade its logistics infrastructure. The terminal can now handle longer and complete trains, improving manoeuvring efficiency and reducing operational times to deliver a faster, safer and more efficient service.
The investment includes upgrades to access points, work areas and safety systems. In addition, the terminal now operates with its own shunting locomotive and has obtained the Derivación Particular, increasing its operational autonomy and flexibility in train management.
These improvements reinforce Noain as a strategic logistics node in northern Spain and strengthen Railsider’s commitment to a competitive and sustainable logistics model aligned with decarbonisation goals. The company continues to support the growth of intermodal transport through solutions tailored to real market needs.
